Parallel fifths, octaves/unisons

Choose repertory
How matches are counted

Two voices move in the same direction into another diatonic fifth or perfect octave/unison, with simultaneous destination attacks. Hard: both initial notes also began together. Soft: initial notes began at different times. Rests and double barlines break the chain; tied continuations are not fresh attacks. Fifth qualities are shown separately. Compound intervals are reduced; repeated notes, contrary motion, and voice crossings are excluded. Ambiguous chords or overlapping subvoices are skipped and reported.

Pitch spellings include the source's editorial accidentals. Excerpts show the source score without analysis highlighting.
